Kirk McGraw has been a member since 2000. His wife (Kalah) and children (Kelsey and Kori) frequently find themselves part of his offroad escapades. He first started 4wheeling in 1978, taking his 1969 Scout 800A on surfing trips to Baja Mexico. He also wheeled the Scout in Big Sur (California) and Red Sands (El Paso Texas).

Vehicle: Kirk currently drives a 1982 CJ-7 that has been slightly (ha ha) modified. Starting at the front, he swapped in an A.M.C. 304 w/TBI fuel injection, backed by a T-18a trans to a (gasp) stock Dana 300 T-case. From the T- case the power goes to a Dana 70 rear w/Detroit locker, and a Dana 44 front with an E-Locker. The modifications don't stop there as he has built extensive body armor from front to rear (and underside!), along with a roll-cage that NASCAR would be proud of! And to top it all off the rig rolls on Hummer bead lock rims with Hummer issue tires that have also been modified thru the use of a grooving iron. In case he gets this beast stuck, he has opted for a 9500lb. Warn winch with synthetic line. He has wheeled on various trails in Arkansas (Superlift in Hot Springs), Colorado (Great Sand Dunes, Tenderfoot Hill, Clear Lake)Texas (Red Sands in El Paso)Illinois (Rockport), Indiana (Attica, Red Bird, Wilstem and French Lick) and Michigan (Silverlake Dunes).

This just in! Kirk has recently added onboard air to his list of goodies!

Worst Stuck: Quick sand. Took a Ford F-250 with 35 x 14 Mud tires, two straps and a chain to yank the Scout out.
